]]>Created by Fey and 30 Rock alums Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, this series draws inspiration from the 80s classic starring Alan Alda, Carol Burnett, Rita Moreno, and Jack Weston. The original film followed three couples who go on a vacation by each other’s side every season until an unexpected divorce deteriorates their plans for a peaceful holiday.
This won’t be the first collaboration between Carell and Fey, but it’s been over a decade since we’ve seen them join forces. While The Office and 30 Rock were still on the air, this duo teamed up for a rom-com Date Night from 2010, directed by Shawn Levy. Despite mixed reviews, the film found box office success, earning $152.3 million against a $55 million budget.
The Four Seasons will mark Carell’s first collaboration with Netflix since his workplace comedy Space Force was canceled after two seasons. His recent TV credits also include Hulu’s physiological thriller mini-series The Patient and the Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show.

]]>The trailer comes just days after a cryptic first-look teaser was released by Apple.
The highly anticipated show stars Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, and Reese Witherspoon. It explores the internal strife of and interpersonal drama between the morning news show’s co-anchors (Aniston and Carrell) and a newcomer (Witherspoon).
The backdrop of the show is pretty much self-explanatory — the set and studio of a morning news program, which we now learn are in the middle of “an epic rebirth,” following allegations made against Carrell’s character and Jennifer’s beloved character “break down.”
The Morning Show also stars Mark Duplass and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Apple’s TV Plus streaming service launches this fall.

Chuck Lorre, who created the Netflix series, joined Arkin and his family during the ceremony. His Little Miss Sunshine co-star Steve Carell also made an appearance and had nothing but words of praise for the veteran actor.
“There’s a danger to meeting your heroes. Rarely do they live up to the expectations you place upon them and Alan turned out to be much more than I could have imagined. I simply idolize him. His depth of talent is unprecedented. He is the actor I want to be,” said Carell during the ceremony.

According to the short teaser that Netflix dropped alongside the announcement, this hilarious project will focus on the creation of a new branch of government, which should defend satellites from attack and perform other space-related tasks… or something.
The teaser also described Space Force as the story of the men and women who have to figure out how to bring this idea to life, and we can’t wait to follow their adventures.
Despite the fact it’s not directly related to The Office, it’s the next best thing since Steve Carell repeatedly said he has no intention of going back to playing Michael Scott.

Two-time Emmy winner Mimi Leder will be in charge of directing this intriguing project. Her previous credits include ER, Shameless, The Leftovers and the upcoming Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic On the Basis of Sex.

]]>“Because The Office is on Netflix and replaying, a lot more people have seen it recently,” Carell told Esquire in a recent interview. “I think because of that there’s been a resurgence in interest in the show, and talk about bringing it back. But apart from the fact that I just don’t think that’s a good idea, it might be impossible to do that show today and have people accept it the way it was accepted ten years ago. The climate’s different.“
According to the 56-year-old actor, the main problem is in the inappropriate behavior of his character which was among the focal points of the sitcom.
“I mean, the whole idea of that character, Michael Scott, so much of it was predicated on inappropriate behavior,” he explained. “I mean, he’s certainly not a model boss. A lot of what is depicted on that show is completely wrong-minded. That’s the point, you know? But I just don’t know how that would fly now. There’s a very high awareness of offensive things today—which is good, for sure. But at the same time, when you take a character like that too literally, it doesn’t really work.”
While Steve Carell thinks that The Office revival wouldn’t work, NBC disagrees. According to Deadline‘s report in late 2017, the network began exploring the possibility to bring back the sitcom for the 2018-19 season. Carell’s would not return, but some of the members from the original cast would be back alongside the new cast additions.

Christian Bale gained 40 pounds to play Cheney and claimed he ate a lot of pies to achieve this goal. He also worked hard to nail his mannerisms and accent. Bale did a lot of research to learn more about his policies so he could easily improvise at any given moment. This isn’t the first time Bale pushed his body to the limits and completely immersed in the character. That’s why Adam McKay knew he was the right person for the job even before he hired him.
“What Christian Bale really does is he psychologically breaks someone apart and puts them back together again. I’ve never seen someone work so hard. It is hard on him, but really amazing to watch,” explained McKay, who previously directed Bale in The Big Short.
Vice also stars Sam Rockwell as George W. Bush, Amy Adams as Lynne Cheney and Steve as Donald Rumsfeld. It’s scheduled to be released on December 25, in the peak of the awards season.
