The Hollywood Reporter published a story about SNL and American politics, in which Lorne Michaels revealed Tina Fey was responsible for turning Alec Baldwin into Donald Trump.
Michaels said: “She said, ‘Well, the person that should really play [Trump] is Alec’. And I went, ‘Yeah!’ A light went on.”
While being interviewed as a part of the SNL‘s cast, Baldwin remembered struggling to get a hold of Trump as he watched and watched videos of him.
“I watch and watch and I still don’t know what I’m going to do,” Baldwin shared. “Then I get out and all I remember is, ‘Just try to make him unhappy’…my Trump is ‘Miserable Trump.’ No matter what. He wins, he loses, he’s miserable.”
