Wannabe Cop Arrested After Stupidly Pulling Over Actual Officer

Miami, Florida – If you are going to illegally impersonate an officer of the law, be sure not to pull over an actual detective from your local PD.

A Miami detective was driving north on I-95 at 7:30 am in his issued unmarked vehicle when he was pulled over, ABC reports.

Police say that 47-year-old Pacheco-Bustamante from Miami was driving a Ford Crown Victoria when he pulled up behind the officer’s vehicle and activated police sirens, causing the detective to change lanes thinking fellow police behind him was called and is trying to pass, so the officer changed lanes to let the cruiser successfully pass him.

According to an official report, Pacheco-Bustamante reportedly continued to follow the detective until the unmarked car pulled over to the shoulder of the road near Northwest 119th Street. The detective exited his vehicle in full uniform and quickly realized that he was “pulled over” by none other than a police impersonator, the report said.

Pacheco-Bustamante was arrested and his vehicle searched, revealing a realistic appearing BB gun and a blue police light, authorities said.

Pacheco-Bustamante confessed to the crime, and is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a charge of impersonating a police officer.
