Play will be released on September 12 via Sheeran’s own record label Gingerbread Man Records and distributed by Warner Records Inc. “Azizam” was released as its lead single back in April, while the second single “Old Phone” was released along with the album announcement.
The standard edition of Play will feature a total of 13 songs, with such titles as “Sapphire”, “Don’t Look Down”, and “A Little More”. Sheeran prepared three more tracks for its deluxe and vinyl editions.
In an emotional post on social media, Sheeran described Play as a direct response to the darkest period of his life.
“Coming out of all of that I just wanted to create joy and technicolour, and explore cultures in the countries I was touring. It’s a real rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish, it encapsulates everything that I love about music, and the fun in it, but also where I am in life as a human, a partner, a father,” wrote Sheeran.

No formal offer has been made to Pattinson, but there is strong interest in him joining the cast. It remains unknown who he would play, but sources are saying he’s been circling the role of the film’s main villain, possibly Scytale from Frank Herbert’s books.
The third film in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune franchise will be based on Dune Messiah, and the director said it would mark the conclusion of his trilogy. The cast is yet to be announced, but Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem, and Jason Mamoa will most likely make their return.
Pattinson is fresh off starring in Bong Joon Ho’s acclaimed sci-fi black comedy Mickey 17, and he has several highly-anticipated projects in the works. He’s set to appear in Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey, Lynne Ramsay’s dark comedy Die, My Love, rom-com The Drama opposite Zendaya, and the sequel of The Batman, set to premiere in 2027.
]]>Avengers: Doomsday will be the first Avengers film since Avengers: Endgame – and it will be worth the wait! Marvel dropped some hints about the show’s cast and revealed it will mark the return of several original Avengers, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye.
The star-studded cast will also include Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Winston Duke as M’Baku.
Several original X-Men stars will make their return, including Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Rebecca Romijn as Mystique.
Robert Downey Jr. previously announced his return to the MCU as Victor von Doom / Doctor Doom, and he’ll be joined by the new cast of Fantastic Four – Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing, and Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released on May 1, 2026, as part of Phase Six of the MCU.
Freakier Friday will put a multigenerational twist on the original 2003 film, and here’s what it has in store, according to Disney’s official logline:
“The film picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.”
In addition to Curtis and Lohan, Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao will also reprise their roles from the original film. They’ll be joined by Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Vanessa Bayer.
The original Freaky Friday came out in 2003, and it starred Curtis and Lohan as a mother-daughter duo whose lives take a wild turn after their bodies are magically switched. It was based on Mary Rodgers’s book of the same name, which previously inspired several adaptations.
Freaky Friday will be released by Walt Disney Studios on August 8 before streaming on Disney+ at a later date.
Not much is known about this hotly anticipated sequel, but it will most likely focus on Weaving’s character Grace – a young bride who must take part in the murderous version of hide-and-seek after marrying into a wealthy family, who have a peculiar game-night ritual with deadly consequences.
Ready or Not also starred Adam Brody, Mark O’Brien, Elyse Levesque, Nicky Guadagni, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell, but Weaving is the only actress from the original film to make a comeback. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and screenwriters Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy are also returning, with Radio Silence producing again.
Kathryn Newton is the first new cast member to join Weaving in a mystery role. She’s no stranger to acclaimed horror comedies, having recently starred in Lisa Frankenstein and Abigail. Her notable credits also include roles in the TV series Halt and Catch Fire, Big Little Lies, and The Society, plus films Blockers, Freaky, and the Ant-Man franchise.

MacDonald’s book inspired several adaptations in the past, including the 1962 version starring Gregory Peck and Martin Scorsese’s remake led by Robert De Niro and Nick Nolte. Apple TV+ ordered a ten-episode adaptation, with Nick Antosca serving as writer, executive producer, and showrunner.
This new version will center on happily married attorneys Anna and Tom Bowden, who must face the ghosts of their past after Max Cady, a notorious killer from their past, gets out of prison. Bardem previously joined the series as Max Cady, while Amy Adams is set to play Anna Bowden.
Cape Fear will mark Adams’ first TV role since the acclaimed HBO mini-series Sharp Objects, which earned her nominations for a Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award. She also earned six Oscar nods for her roles in Junebug, Doubt, The Fighter, The Master, American Hustle, and Vice, while also starring in hit films Enchanted, Arrival, and Man of Steel. She’ll next be seen in Taika Waititi’s adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s Klara and the Sun.
]]>Netflix’s official logline describes the new adaptation as a “part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West.” It will offer a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier, drawing inspiration from Wilder’s semi-autobiographical book series.
Jinny Howe, vice president of drama series at Netflix, said they’re excited to share the enduring themes of hope and optimism with a fresh take on this iconic story. She also promised that Sonnenshine’s “vision threads the needle with an emotional depth that will delight both new and existing fans of this beloved classic.”
Sonnenshine’s previous credits include The Boys and The Vampire Diaries. In addition to serving as the showrunner of this reboot, she’s also coming on board as one of the executive producers alongside Joy Gorman Wettels of Joy Coalition, Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions, plus Dana Fox and Susanna Fogel.
Laura Ingalls Wilder’s book series Little House on the Prairie produced eight children’s novels and inspired a hit series of the same name, which ran on NBC for nine seasons between 1974 and 1983.
