Chloë Grace Moretz to Star in Live-Action “Tom and Jerry” Movie

One of our favorite childhood cartoons, Tom and Jerry, is getting a live-action adaptation, and it finally found its leading lady. Chloë Grace Moretz is in talks to star in this promising project.

According to Collider, the young actress will play the role of a hotel employee named Kayla, who’s putting together a glamorous wedding. The only problem? This posh hotel is the home of mischievous mouse Jerry, who could ruin the whole thing.

Kayla decides to drive him out with the help of an alley cat named Tom, but her strategy backfires horribly when the two rivals cross each other’s path. Collider also reports that Tom and Jerry will remain relatively silent, just like in the original animated series.

The Tom and Jerry live-action re-imagining is only one of several exciting projects set to star Chloë Grace Moretz. She’s also attached to the Bonnie and Clyde remake, Love Is a Gun, and Luca Guadagnino’s drama Blood on the Tracks, based on Bob Dylan’s album of the same name.
