In only 5 days, the movie managed to surpass the original animated Beauty and the Beast from 1991. The current domestic total is standing at amazing $219 million, which breaks more than one record.
As the true fanatics know, this is only the 5th movie ever to earn over $200 million domestically in a short period of five days.
On the global scale, the film is dangerously close to the $500 million mark and it’s expected to happen by the end of the weekend.
