Jemima Kirke actually reminds us of her character Jessa in the HBO hit show Girls. She’s direct and honest, and tells the things the way they are. Her recent revelation regarded the divorce from her ex Michael Mosberg.
Kirke said: “I got divorced, and I attribute that to acting. And just asking myself, ‘Is this really me?'”
Jemima and Michael met during her rehab. A year later she got pregnant so they decided to get married. “I just wanted to keep it f–king simple: Yes, I choose you, let’s do this. We’ll live together and we’ll raise the baby as a family,'” the actress said. “You just want to do whatever is best for the child.”
However, that marriage came with Michael’s two kids from a previous relationship. Kirke continued her story: “Getting pregnant does influence your choice, and that’s why I think a lot of couples end up getting divorced later. Because the kids are fine, they’re in school, they’ve got their life set up and then you finally ask: ‘Am I happy?'”
The couple has two children together, Rafaella (6) and Memphis (4).
