Looks like July Fourth put Justin Timberlake in the mood for some new music.
The singer dropped a surprise single called “SoulMate” on Tuesday, just in time for the celebrations. This is Timberlake’s newest music since his fifth solo album “Man of the Woods” and marks a definite departure from the country vibe of the album and a return to his dance beat roots.
Timberlake announced the new song by taking to Twitter and sharing the album art of the track. On his YouTube channels, he shared the music video and proclaimed, “SUMMER STARS NOW.”
Timberlake interviewed with Complex on the day of the release of his new track where he claimed he loved Drake’s new album Scorpion and had been discussing a collaboration with the Toronto rapper and singer “a lot.” Fittingly, “SoulMate” is produced by dvsn’s Nineteen85 who is responsible for numerous Drake hits.
