]]>“Texas Hold ‘Em” initially debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, but climbed to No. 1 during its second week on the chart. It attracted 29 million streams, 16.1 million radio airplay audience impressions, and sold 29,000 downloads between February 16-22.
The success of “Texas Hold ‘Em” is quite historic because it transformed Beyoncé into the first Black female artist to top the Hot 100 with a country song. This country banger was released as one of two singles from her upcoming album Renaissance Act II, along with “16 Carriages”. The rest of the album will be released on March 29, and it will reportedly see Beyoncé making a shift to country music.
“Texas Hold ‘Em” marks Beyoncé’s ninth single as a solo artist to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, joining the likes of “Break My Soul”, “Single Ladies”, and “Crazy in Love”. She also notched four chart-topping songs as a member of the girl group Destiny’s Child.

Nicki Minaj was right behind with Minaj’s Pink Friday 2, which earned 100,000 equivalent album units during its second week.
This marks Swift’s 67th week at No. 1 across all 13 of her chart-topping releases, and this number is quite impressive. She ties Elvis Presley for the most weeks at No. 1 among solo artists since Billboard 200 started regularly publishing their weekly chart in 1956. The all-time record is still held by The Beatles, who spent 132 weeks at No. 1 in the United States.
The rest of the Billboard 200 chart this week is mostly occupied by the holiday albums. Michael Bublé’s former No. 1 Christmas took the No. 4 spot with 70,000 units, along with Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song at No. 8 and Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas at No. 10.

The band’s ninth studio album features a total of 12 tracks, and it helped Backstreet Boys return to the top because they weren’t scared to try new things. Kevin Richardson explained they experimented with several different genres while recording these songs – including rap, R&B, country, rock, pop
“DNA will feature tracks that are acoustically driven, piano-driven, songs that have an R&B vibe, and some that are influenced heavily by the EDM movement. But we did it all in a Backstreet way with our harmonies,” explained Richardson.
Backstreet Boys will promote the album with their most expensive tour to date, which will kick off on May 11 in Lisbon, Portufal.
