]]>The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles this past weekend. The list of recipients also included the iconic synth-pop band Duran Duran, singer-songwriter Carly Simon, new wave duo Eurythmics and rock star Pat Benatar.
Parton’s speech was the most memorable moment of the night. She opened it by jokingly saying, “I’m a rock star now!” and reflected on her hesitation to accept this honor.
“Back when they said they were gonna put me in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I didn’t really feel like I had done enough to deserve that. And I didn’t understand at the time that it’s about more than that. But I’m just honored and so proud to be here tonight,” said Parton.
Parton also gave an explosive performance at the ceremony, with live renditions of songs “Rockin’ Years” and “Jolene”. Several inductees joined her for the star-studded performance of “Jolene”, including Pat Benatar and Eurythmics’ Annie Lennox.

Things got even more amazing from there, and Mary J. Blige gave us one of the night’s most unforgettable moments while performing “Family Affair” and “No More Drama”. She was followed by Kendrick Lamar, who did a great job representing a new generation of hip-hop.
He joined Eminem for “Forgot About Dre” before leaving the stage and letting the fellow rapper deliver a show-stopping rendition of his hit song “Lose Yourself”. The halftime show ended with all five headliners performing a joint rendition of “Still D.R.E.”
The Super Bowl LVI was held on February 13th, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, with the Los Angeles Rams defeating the Cincinnati Bengals to win the title.

]]>Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige will be in charge of headlining the upcoming Super Bowl LVI halftime show. Pepsi’s VP of marketing, Todd Kaplan, is describing the upcoming show as an epic, unforgettable celebration of the impact hip hop has today.
“The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show has become a landmark cultural moment, bringing about some of the most iconic performances over the years… We are thrilled to bring together such an incredible array of talented, record-breaking musicians to put on a performance for the ages,” said Kaplan in a statement.
Pepsi and NFL assembled this lineup along with Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation and they’re describing the upcoming show as a larger-than-life performance of hits from the quintet’s collective catalog. For some of the artists, Super Bowl LVI hits close to home because it will be the first in nearly three decades to be held in the Los Angeles area. The Big Game will take place on February 13th, 2022 at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

“Godzilla” was featured on Eminem’s new album Music to Be Murdered By, and it was a huge hit long before this video was released. It became a viral sensation thanks to the “Godzilla Challenge” and reached no. 3 at the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Fed up with all the negativity, he tosses his phone and begins to roam the streets, but quickly realizes he’s being followed by a mysterious shadowy figure which crawled out of a stranger’s tablet.
Eminem tries to escape the Venomesque creature, only to realize there’s no way out. He ends up being cornered by the smoke monster, which possesses his body at the end of the video. The rapper finds a way to get rid of it by leaping through the window and landing on his feet.
“Fall” is obviously metaphorical, but it’s still crystal clear what Eminem tried to say with it. It’s his version of “Look What You Made Me Do”, which takes aim at everyone who dared to cross him. It disses the critics and some of his fellow rappers, and it’s the perfect reflection of Kamikaze as a whole.

]]>“Celebrated my 10 years yesterday,” he wrote. The token features the traditional Alcoholics Anonymous triangle of “unity,” “service,” and “recovery,” along with an X in the center, the Roman numeral for 10.
The “Lose Yourself” rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, has been vocal about the events that led him to getting sober, particularly the time he accidentally overdosed in 2007.
“I overdosed on pills, and I went into the hospital. I was close to 230 pounds. I’m not sure how I got so big, but I have ideas. The coating on the Vicodin and the Valium I’d been taking for years leaves a hole in your stomach, so to avoid a stomachache, I was constantly eating — and eating badly,” Eminem told Men’s Journal in 2015.
“When I got out of rehab, I needed to lose weight, but I also needed to figure out a way to function sober. Unless I was blitzed out of my mind, I had trouble sleeping. So I started running. It gave me a natural endorphin high, but it also helped me sleep, so it was perfect,” the 45-year-old rapper said at the time.
“It’s easy to understand how people replace addiction with exercise. One addiction for another but one that’s good for them,” he continued.
In December, Eminem opened up to Shade 45, a SiriusXM radio station he produced, about one of the tracks in his new album, Revival.
“If you listen to ‘Castle’ all the way to the end, you hear me taking pills and falling,” Eminem said. “That was, you know, the recreation of me falling in the bathroom, and then waking up in the hospital, not knowing what the f**k was going on. I had tubes in me, and I was angry, and I couldn’t talk.”
The Grammy award-winning artist also added that the album’s final track, “Arose,” ends with the sound of pills being flushed down the toilet, a sign of his decision to get sober.

]]>The list of artists set to perform at Coachella 2018 in four months was revealed Tuesday. The festival’s official Twitter account broke the news, posting the full lineup of artists.
Headlining the festival are The Weeknd, Beyoncé, and Eminem. After pulling out of last year’s Coachella due to her pregnancy, Queen B will hit the stage on April 14 and 21. The Weeknd and Eminem will take the stage on April 13 and April 20, and April 15 and April 22 respectively.
Many other artists are included in the lineup like HAIM, the Man, Post Malone, Vince Staples and more.
Bey’s is one of the more anticipated performances of the festival with speculations of a possible Destiny’s Child Reunion, however, nothing has been confirmed about her performance except the dates.

In the video, Stan is an obsessed fan of the rapper who wrote threatening letters to Eminem, neglects his pregnant girlfriend and ultimately drives his car off of a bridge with her inside in an effort to make the rapper notice him, ET reports.
Sawa, who recently starred on ABC drama series Somewhere Between, said he had little trouble harnessing the troubled character, saying, “I was already a little dark in my early 20s.” Despite the disturbing material, the atmosphere on the set of “Stan” was “a huge party.”

]]>“Dre loved FD,” Sawa replied, noting Dr. Dre’s interest for the Final Destination franchise. The actor starred in the first movie of the horror series the same year Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP was released.
In the video, Stan is an obsessed fan of the rapper who wrote threatening letters to Eminem, neglects his pregnant girlfriend and ultimately drives his car off of a bridge with her inside in an effort to make the rapper notice him, ET reports.
Sawa, who recently starred on ABC drama series Somewhere Between, said he had little trouble harnessing the troubled character, saying, “I was already a little dark in my early 20s.” Despite the disturbing material, the atmosphere on the set of “Stan” was “a huge party.”
