]]>The newest teaser trailer from Disney features Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as the voice of Nala in The Lion King. The musical icon stars as the adult version of the lioness, while Shahadi Wright Joseph voices the cub version of the character in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the 1994 animated classic.
In the trailer, Nala tells Simba it’s time he takes his place as king. “We need you. Come home,” she says.
The trailer also features the voices of comedic duo Timon and Pumbaa voiced by Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen respectively.
The film also stars Donald Glover, John Oliver, Eric André, and James Earl Jones.
The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, hits theaters July 19.

]]>The Oscar-winning actor has been set as the voice of the villainous fox in the upcoming film about the beloved young explorer. Del Toro will lend his voice to the thieving fox, Swiper, who always tries to undermine Dora’s efforts and steal her hard-won artifacts.
This casting was confirmed two weeks after the movie wrapped production in Australia. According to The Hollywood Reporter, voice casts for CG characters tend to be locked in when postproduction begins, so no worries there.
Del Toro stars opposite Isabela Moner as the titular character. Michael Pena and Eva Longoria are set to voice Dora’s parents, as well as Eugenio Derbez, Adriana Barraza, Q’orianka Kilcher and Temuera Morrison.
The movie follows a high school-bound Dora leading her friends and her monkey best friend, Boots on a Goonies-esque adventure to save her parents and solve the mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.
Dora The Explorer is set for an August 2, 2019, release.

]]>The image released by the network on Monday features Liu Yifei, also known as Crystal Liu in character. The image was released to mark the first day of production on the highly anticipated live-action film.
The film has been in the works for a while and the search for the female lead lasted an entire year!
The film is adapted from Disney’s 1998 animated film of the same name and follows the tale of a young woman who disguises herself as a man in order to fight Northern invaders attacking China.
“The eldest daughter of an honored warrior, Hua Mulan is spirited, determined and quick on her feet. When the Emperor issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army, she steps in to take the place of her ailing father as Hua Jun, becoming one of China’s greatest warriors ever,” Disney said in a statement.
Joining the cast are Jimmy Wong and Doua Moua who will play the roles of Ling and Po, respectively. Among other actors cast in the film are Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Cheng Pei-pei and Tzi Ma.

Disney’s original 1998 Mulan grossed $304.3 million worldwide and featured the voices of Ming-Na Wen, Eddie Murphy, Miguel Ferrer, and BD Wong, while Jackie Chan voiced Chinese dubs of the movie.
While the film’s release date has been pushed back by more than a year to March 2020, it will follow the successes of the studio’s live-action reboots such as Cinderella, The Jungle Book and most recently the box-office hit Beauty and the Beast.
The live-action Mulan reboot is penned by Lauren Hynek and Elizabeth Martin is directed by Niki Caro and produced by Chris Bender, Jason Reed, and Jake Weiner.
