The streaming giant’s six-episode documentary Wild Wild Country is getting adapted for the big-screen. The story of Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, will star Priyanka Chopra as Ma Anand Sheela, the guru’s assistant and spokeswoman. 

The news was announced by Chopra herself during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday. 

“We’re developing it as the character of Sheela, who was this guru who originated from India, [Osho’s] right-hand woman. And she was just devious and created a whole cult in America, brought people here,” Chopra told DeGeneres. “[The doc] was amazing, and I’m developing that next for me to star in and produce, which I think would be really cool.”

The Quantico star has teamed with director Barry Levinson to bring the story of Bhagwan’s rise in the Pacific Northwest.

The 36-year-old actress’ rep has confirmed that she and her 26-year-old singer beau said their ‘I do’s’ at Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, on Saturday.

The festivities began with a Christian ceremony officiated by Jonas’ father. According to Vogue, the former Quantico star looked stunning in a Ralph Lauren gown. Back in October she told Entertainment Tonight, “I always believed that anything and everything that I wear, I have to be comfortable and cute,” Chopra explained. “So it’s going to be cute and comfortable.” 

Jonas took to social media to post pics form Chopra’s mehendi ceremony during which she had traditional henna tattoos applied to her palms and arms.

“One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing,” he wrote alongside pics from the event. “An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.”

It was quite the event, or shall we say series of events. Chopra took to Instagram to share additional snaps for the special day.

“It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love,” she wrote. “Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together.”

This is definitely what you call a whirlwind romance with the couple getting engaged in July after just two months of dating.

The very much in love couple looks beautiful in traditional habits with Jonas wearing a simple white kurta-pajama, and Priyanka wearing a yellow couture salwar with white detailing. “The only way to do this… with Family and God. Thank you all for your wishes and blessings,” Priyanka wrote.

Alongside a picture in which the two stare deep into each other’s eyes, she wrote, “Taken… With all my heart and soul…” Jonas also took to social media and shared the same picture with the caption, “Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love.” The photo also displayed Chopra’s engagement ring, which according to E! News is a cushion cut weighing around 4 carats from Tiffany & Co and is valued at $200,000.
