Crystal is also directing from a script he co-wrote with Alan Zweibel. He and costar Haddish also serve as producers.
“I’m so grateful to get the chance to bring this charming and beautiful story to life,” Crystal said in a statement. “To write this with Alan was a joy, and to have Tiffany as my costar is fantastic. The generational differences in our comedy will be great to play with. She’s explosively funny and genuinely human at the same time. [I’m] excited to explore all our possibilities together.”
Production is set to begin this October in New York City, however, a release date has yet to be announced.

Down Under Cover centers on a detective, played by Hemsworth, who goes undercover to solve a series of mysterious casino heists. He’s forced to work with a lone wolf detective, played by Haddish, who always has to have her way and has a hard time co-operating with others.
This film has been recently presented to buyers at the Cannes Film Festival, and we’re yet to see which studio will take the bait. Hemsworth and Haddish both have a pretty great track record, and a perfect comedic timing, and we’re pretty sure it will be exciting to see them working side by side.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedians Haddish chose to be featured in the series are Chaunté Wayans, April Macie, Tracey Ashley, Aida Rodriguez, Flame Monroe and Marlo Williams.
“I am introducing six of my favorite comedians,” said Haddish. “In my eyes, they are superstars — the epitome of They Ready.”
Haddish also serves as executive producer alongside Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz.

According to multiple reports, the comedian bombed hard on Monday night, so hard that several fans actually got up and walked out of the show.

]]>Expectations were high and Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish delivered. Universal’s comedy Night School has topped the domestic box office with $28 million in ticket sales across theaters in the US and Canada from Friday to Sunday. The film was made for about $29 million.
The film follows high school drop out Hart who is trying to get his G.E.D. and Haddish as the teacher refusing to make it easy for him.
The film reunites Haddish with her Girls Trip director, Malcolm D. Lee, and producer Will Packer.
Night School beat Smallfoot which came in second at the box office earning $23 million. Made for about $80 million it tells the story of a Yeti who forms an unlikely friendship with a human. The film boasts a big voice cast including Channing Tatum, James Corden, Zendaya, Common, LeBron James, and Gina Rodriguez.
Rounding out the top five this weekend are The House With a Clock in Its Walls ($12.5 million), A Simple Favor ($6.6 million) and The Nun ($5.4 million).

]]>Following her breakout success in Girls Trip, Tiffany Haddish has just landed her first gig as executive producer. Haddish will serve as executive producer in a new HBO comedy series currently in development.
The series titled Unsubscribed will explore female blackness, beauty and identity through a behind-the-scenes look at the Instagram hustle, Variety reports. Serving as exec producers alongside Haddish as well as co-writes are Xosha Roquemore and Danielle Henderson. Better known for her acting, this will be Roquemore’s first writing credit. Henderson’s credits include the upcoming Netflix series Maniac, as well as HBO’s Divorce and Hulu’s Difficult People.
Unsubscribed is Haddish’s first project under her two-year first-look deal with HBO.
The comedienne is currently starring opposite Tracy Morgan in the TBS comedy The Last O.G. Her upcoming projects include Universal’s Night School and Netflix’s animated series Tuca and Bertie.

Mike Mitchell (Trolls) is on board as director. Serving as executive producers are Chris McKay and Jinko Gotoh.
The Lego Movie grossed nearly $470 million worldwide in 2014.
The Lego Movie 2 is set to debut in February 2019.

]]>38-year-old Haddish will star in a new animated Netflix series titled Bertie and Tuca. Helming the project is artist and designer Lisa Hanawalt, creator of the critically acclaimed BoJack Horseman.
The new 10-episode comedy, combines, very much in Hanawalt’s style the animal and human worlds. It centers on the friendship of a pair of 30-year-old bird-women who live in the same apartment building. Haddish is set to be the voice of Tuca, described as a “cocky-care-free toucan.” It is still unknown who will work alongside Haddish in the role of Bertie, described as “an anxious, daydreaming songbird,” has yet to be cast.
Haddish will serve as an executive producer on the show; The production’s team also includes Bojack producers Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Noel Bright, Steve A. Cohen.
Haddish’s breakthrough finally came with the success of Girls Trip, which earned $140.1 million at the box office.

]]>Following her breakout success in Girls Trip, Tiffany Haddish has just landed her first gig as executive producer. Haddish will serve as executive producer in a new HBO comedy series currently in development.
The series titled Unsubscribed will explore female blackness, beauty and identity through a behind-the-scenes look at the Instagram hustle, Variety reports. Serving as exec producers alongside Haddish as well as co-writes are Xosha Roquemore and Danielle Henderson. Better known for her acting, this will be Roquemore’s first writing credit. Henderson’s credits include the upcoming Netflix series Maniac, as well as HBO’s Divorce and Hulu’s Difficult People.
Unsubscribed is Haddish’s first project under her two-year first-look deal with HBO.
The comedienne is currently starring opposite Tracy Morgan in the TBS comedy The Last O.G. Her upcoming projects include Universal’s Night School and Netflix’s animated series Tuca and Bertie.

]]>Variety reports that the comedienne will star as the voice of one the lead characters in the second installment of The Lego Movie franchise.
The script for the sequel was first penned by Lord and Miller; Raphael Bob-Waksberg joined the project to do the re-write, with the latest draft written by Matt Fogel.
Mike Mitchell (Trolls) is on board as director. Serving as executive producers are Chris McKay and Jinko Gotoh.
The Lego Movie grossed nearly $470 million worldwide in 2014.
The Lego Movie 2 is set to debut in February 2019.

]]>38-year-old Haddish will star in a new animated Netflix series titled Bertie and Tuca. Helming the project is artist and designer Lisa Hanawalt, creator of the critically acclaimed BoJack Horseman.
The new 10-episode comedy, combines, very much in Hanawalt’s style the animal and human worlds. It centers on the friendship of a pair of 30-year-old bird-women who live in the same apartment building. Haddish is set to be the voice of Tuca, described as a “cocky-care-free toucan.” It is still unknown who will work alongside Haddish in the role of Bertie, described as “an anxious, daydreaming songbird,” has yet to be cast.
Haddish will serve as an executive producer on the show; The production’s team also includes Bojack producers Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Noel Bright, Steve A. Cohen.
Haddish’s breakthrough finally came with the success of Girls Trip, which earned $140.1 million at the box office.
