“Loyal Brave True” will be released as a part of the Mulan soundtrack, alongside an updated version of “Reflection”. The film itself is expected to premiere on March 27th, with Liu Yifei playing the role of the titular Disney heroine.

Aguilera shared the exciting news shortly after kicking off her Las Vegas residency, Xperience, and set down with Billboard to explain why she decided to work on this project.

“I want to really experience it from the ground up. I always heard my parents speak it in the house, but I never fully learned [Spanish]. I’m even digging in and trying to start the lessons – it’ll take a little time balancing the show and the recording hours, but it’s coming,” promised Aguilera.

She also shared her plan to work with and learn from musicians who “eat, sleep and breathe” Latin music.

It’s great to see how passionate she is about this project, and expectations are running high. Her Spanish-language album Mi Reflejo from 2000 won Latin Grammy for best female pop vocal album of the year.

“Whenever I was in that mode of creating Stripped, I was like, ‘God, I have to get back to a place where I’m making music that I fully believe in and get the duct tape off my mouth.’ It was a lot,” Aguilera said after Lowe called the pop diva’s new music a “wiser version” of the 2002 album. “It was a time in music, too, [where it] was extremely pop-driven and very puppeteering with what was behind-the-scenes, and what the label felt would sell in a package deal. And once again I found myself in a place where [I think], ‘God, all these rules.’ I’m just not living up to my full potential.”

Aguilera’s seventh studio album, Liberation, will be out on June 15. Her fans have already listened to “Accelerate,” “Twice,” and “Fall in Line,” her duet with Demi Lovato. She released her latest single, “Like I do,” featuring GoldLink, on Friday.

“These songs so make sense and are so relevant now,” the 37-year-old singer explained. “I was doing it back then and I’m glad that I stuck to my guns. I really truly just came out with things that I believed in, even if it was against the grain, and even if people were like, ‘Really, you shouldn’t be saying that. It’s going to start up too much controversy.'”

The Grammy winner is no stranger when it comes to controversy. From her sexy ensembles to her “Dirrty” music video, she owns up to everything she’s done in her music career. Now, as a mother of two adorable kids, 10-year -old son Max and 3-year-old daughter Summer, she’s more careful of what she puts out.

“There are definitely two different hats that I wear, for sure,” she shared. “My kids at home don’t see the one on stage. I’m very not showy, even when I’m trying to do my vocal rehearsal. I was practicing for the Whitney [Houston] tribute [for the 2017 American Music Awards in December] and my daughter was watching Peppa Pig and she was like, ‘Be quiet,’ and shuts the door. I was like, ‘Oh, okay.’ It definitely is an eye-awakening moment. But, you know, it all changes into the artist you are and the person you are and you have to absorb that.”

But I always come from a message and a place and, as a woman, being empowered by your body,” she added. “What’s right for me might not be right for her, or might not be right for the next woman. But it is the way that I feel empowered in my own body and showing my own strength, and that’s how I needed to be when I was 21. The 37-year-old singer has announced that she will be going on tour for the first time in over a decade. The tour will promote her new upcoming album Liberation.

Liberation the album drops June 15 and will be the GRAMMY winner’s first studio album since 2012’s Lotus.

“Touring is so frightening to me, because I am a mom first,” Aguilera recently told Billboard magazine. “It’s part of why I stayed in the position I was,” she explained. “It’s easy to get comfortable and cushy in the same place and not have to worry about uprooting your kids. It was actually a fan who got the singer to finally offer some information about a new album five years after the 2012 release of Lotus, her 7th record only to become one of Aguilera’s lowest-selling records.

Aguilera took to Instagram to announce the news to her fans as a response to a creative message sent to her from a fan.

“Dear Christina Aguilera,” the fan wrote using pieces of paper strategically placed on her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “Where the f–k is the new album?” Aguilera came back with an answer, writing “It’s coming b–ches…” with a bunch of fire emojis.

The Voice judge has been teasing fans with a new album for years now, hopefully this time it’ll stick!

Pink had been vocal about her shaky past with Aguilera. In a VH1 Behind the Music special released in 2009, the “What About Us” singer revealed the enmity’s source.

“[Label executive] Ron Fair walked in,” she shared. “He didn’t say hi to any of us and said, ‘What’s the high part? What’s the most singing part? Christina’s going to take that part. And I stood up, and I said ‘Hi. How are you? So nice of you to introduce yourself. I’m Pink. She will not be taking that part. I think that’s what the f–king meeting’s about.'”

She also felt betrayed by Linda Perry who started working with Aguilera years after she broke ties with her mentor.

“And you’re f**kin Rip Van Winkle if you’ve never seen one of my videos,” she concluded.

Pink had been vocal about her shaky past with Aguilera. In a VH1 Behind the Music special released in 2009, the “What About Us” singer revealed the enmity’s source.

“[Label executive] Ron Fair walked in,” she shared. “He didn’t say hi to any of us and said, ‘What’s the high part? What’s the most singing part? Christina’s going to take that part. And I stood up, and I said ‘Hi. How are you? So nice of you to introduce yourself. I’m Pink. She will not be taking that part. I think that’s what the f–king meeting’s about.'”

She also felt betrayed by Linda Perry who started working with Aguilera years after she broke ties with her mentor.

“I took it really personally when she started working with other artists, particularly artists that I didn’t like,” she said. “I don’t think imitation is the highest form of flattery. I think it’s annoying.”

However in 2016, they’d finally reunite when Pink appeared as a guest coach on The Voice and told ET that Aguilera was the most fun Voice coach to work with.

“Her and I have had history and it hasn’t always been wonderful,” Pink said at the Los Angeles premiere of Alice Through the Looking Glass. “I think it just took us 15 years and I feel like there was true love and it felt really good.”

“I love when you’re around long enough to have a full circle moment and that was a full circle moment for me because in all honesty, I’m a fan of hers,” she explained. “It was just a really refreshing, nice visit.”
