He’ll make a cameo as an Instagram-famous classicist and Charlie’s celebrity crush, Jack Maddox, and Heartstopper teased his role with a short clip on social media.
Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman said they’re incredibly excited to be welcoming three new cast members, and revealed what we can expect from Atwell’s and Marsan’s characters.
“Hayley Atwell joins the Nelson family as Nick’s Aunt Diane, who takes Nick on a summer holiday to Menorca and has some tough advice to impart about his relationship. Eddie Marsan will be portraying a beloved character from the graphic novels: Geoff, Charlie’s wise and straight-talking therapist,” said Oseman in a statement.

The original film followed three couples who go on a vacation by each other’s side every season until an unexpected divorce deteriorates their plans for a peaceful holiday.
This won’t be the first collaboration between Carell and Fey, but it’s been over a decade since we’ve seen them join forces. While The Office and 30 Rock were still on the air, this duo teamed up for a rom-com Date Night from 2010, directed by Shawn Levy. Despite mixed reviews, the film found box office success, earning $152.3 million against a $55 million budget.
The Four Seasons will mark Carell’s first collaboration with Netflix since his workplace comedy Space Force was canceled after two seasons. His recent TV credits also include Hulu’s physiological thriller mini-series The Patient and the Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show.

]]>This series won’t be a remake or a sequel of the workplace sitcom we all know and love but on an offshoot set in the same universe. Daniels co-created the series alongside Michael Koman, and it will reportedly focus on new characters working at a new office, which exists in the same universe as the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.
This project came together after Daniels gathered a group of writers to work on a potential The Office spin-off. Nathan For You co-creator Michael Koman quickly emerged as one of the leading creative voices and eventually joined Daniels as a co-creator of this offshoot.
Domhnall Gleeson, who previously led the mini-series The Patient alongside The Office star Steve Carell, is eying one of the lead roles in this project. His filmography also includes the Star Wars franchise and notable roles in About Time, Ex Machina, and Brooklyn.
He’ll be joined by Sabrina Impacciatore, the Italian actress best known for her Emmy-nominated role in the second season of The White Lotus.

Netflix also announced that Season 4 kicked off production, with Liam Hemsworth in the lead role. He’s stepping in for Henry Cavill, who made the shocking decision to leave this series after its third season.
Hemsworth will serve as a co-lead alongside Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan, and he’s excited to step into The Witcher world.
“As a Witcher fan, I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honored that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure,” said Hemsworth when his casting was first announced.

]]>For All Mankind is the alt-history retelling of the space race, which imagines the world where the Soviets were the first to land the man on the Moon. The space race never ended in this timeline and it went on for decades to come after NASA’s engineers and cosmonauts started taking bigger leaps in an attempt to catch up with the Soviets.
Apple TV+ also ordered a spin-off titled Star City, which will “explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humanity forward,” according to the streamer’s official synopsis.
For All Mankind co-creators Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi serve as the showrunners of the new spin-off. They were inspired to develop it after their fascination with the Soviet space program grew while they were doing research for For All Mankind.

]]>The Holdovers failed to take the prize for the best original screenplay at the Academy Awards, but it had better luck at the WGA Awards. It defeated tough competition in Air, Barbie, May December, and Past Lives to win the trophy for the best original screenplay.
Cord Jefferson’s American Fiction collected a trophy for the best adapted screenplay, after coming out victorious in the same category at the Oscars. The list of contenders in this field also included Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret, Killers of the Flower Moon, Nyad, and Oppenheimer.
As for the winners in the TV categories, things were pretty easy to predict this time around. The final season of Succession collected another trophy for the best drama series, The Bear won the best comedy series award, while Beef was named the best limited series.
The WGA Awards were held on April 14, after their date was moved by several months due to last year’s writers’ strike.

]]>Sethu’s name was first mentioned in connection with Doctor Who in January when rumors about Millie Gibson’s departure made the headlines. BBC finally decided to address the speculations, and it turns out Sethu won’t be replacing Gibson, but joining Gatwa as his second companion, instead.
Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies confirmed Sethu’s casting and revealed she already started shooting her scenes alongside Gatwa and Gibson.
“I first worked with Varada on a BBC production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and it’s a joy to welcome her on board the TARDIS… We’ve got Ncuti, Millie, and Varada fighting side by side–we need all three because the stakes are higher than ever,” said Davies in a statement.

Legally Blonde follows the adventures of Elle Woods, who decides to apply for the law program at Harvard University to spite her ex and prove to the world she has what it takes to become a successful lawyer. ABC is now looking into signing new deals with the show’s ensemble cast since most of their contracts are up this season. Chandra Wilson, James Pickens, Jr., Kevin McKidd, Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, and Kim Raver led Season 20, while the former leading lady Ellen Pompeo joined them as a supporting player and the show’s executive producer.
Meg Marinis is returning as the showrunner, and she was feeling optimistic about its future long before ABC officially announced its renewal.

]]>Sethu’s name was first mentioned in connection with Doctor Who in January when rumors about Millie Gibson’s departure made the headlines. BBC finally decided to address the speculations, and it turns out Sethu won’t be replacing Gibson, but joining Gatwa as his second companion, instead.
Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies confirmed Sethu’s casting and revealed she already started shooting her scenes alongside Gatwa and Gibson.
“I first worked with Varada on a BBC production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and it’s a joy to welcome her on board the TARDIS… We’ve got Ncuti, Millie, and Varada fighting side by side–we need all three because the stakes are higher than ever,” said Davies in a statement.
Varada Sethu previously worked with Disney+ on the Star Wars series Andor, and she feels like the luckiest person in the world to join Doctor Who. She thanked the show’s fans for welcoming her with open arms and added she’s looking forward to going on adventures with Gatwa and Gibson.

]]>The third season will kick off with Penelope deciding to give up her longtime crush on Colin and take up a husband. She’s looking for someone who’ll give her enough freedom to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from the prying eyes of her family.
Her lack of confidence is the only obstacle standing in her way, but Colin is there to help her out. He tries to win back her friendship by helping her become more confident, but things take an unexpected turn when his lessons start working too well.
Nicola Coughlin and Luke Newton will be back as Penelope and Colin, with Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Claudia Jessie, Luke Thompson, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, and Ruth Gemmell also returning. They’ll be joined by several newcomers to the ton, including Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips, and James Phoon.
The next season of Bridgerton will be split into two chapters – Part 1 will premiere on May 16, while Part 2 will premiere on June 13.

]]>Gossip Girl developers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are writing the script for Amazon’s new series, which they’ll also executive produce. They’ll be joined by the Legally Blonde producer Marc Platt, plus Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter via Hello Sunshine.
Amazon is keeping the plot details under wraps, and it remains unclear if this series will reunite us with Elle Woods or if it will simply be set in the same universe as the original movie. Deadline reports that Amazon is plotting a second potential spin-off, but this project is still in the “idea stages”.
Legally Blonde follows the adventures of Elle Woods, who decides to apply for the law program at Harvard University to spite her ex and prove to the world she has what it takes to become a successful lawyer. The film produced a sequel Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, a successful Broadway musical, and television film Legally Blondes, and its third sequel is currently on the way.

]]>Season 20 of Grey’s Anatomy brought many changes our way, and the episode count has been reduced to 10 in the face of the Hollywood strikes last year. It’s the show’s shortest season to date, but Deadline reports that we can expect 18 new episodes when Grey’s Anatomy returns for Season 21.
ABC is now looking into signing new deals with the show’s ensemble cast since most of their contracts are up this season. Chandra Wilson, James Pickens, Jr., Kevin McKidd, Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, and Kim Raver led Season 20, while the former leading lady Ellen Pompeo joined them as a supporting player and the show’s executive producer.
Meg Marinis is returning as the showrunner, and she was feeling optimistic about its future long before ABC officially announced its renewal.
“We still have stories to tell. We receive a tremendous amount of support from the studio and the network and from Shondaland. So I’m going to keep going until they tell me to put that pen down,” said Marinis ahead of Season 20 premiere.
